- Who may borrow films and videos?
- All public libraries in the state of Ohio, all state agencies and Ohio
state parks have access to these materials to provide programming aimed at
furthering entertainment and informational needs. Individual Ohio library
patrons should contact a local library to reserve films and videos.
- Advance Booking
- Films and video may be scheduled up to four months in advance
disregarding the current month. For example, in January films may be
booked for February, March, April and May.
- Loan Period
- Films and videos are scheduled for a 24 hour period unless special
arrangements are made. Borrowers are expected to return films promptly.
- Film Delivery and Return
- Films and videos are delivered and returned by US Cargo or UPS.
Call immediately if a film or video is not delivered or returned as
scheduled.
- Usage Report
- The projectionist is required to complete a report indicating the
number of showings and the number of viewers. Please make additional
comments if the film or video wasn't used, the film or video is damaged,
the content incorrect, etc.

- Damage
- Borrowers assume responsibility for the films' safe handling.
Borrowers are expected to insure that films are run on a projector in good
working order with a clean film rack, and by competent staff who never
leave the projector. Borrowers may be charged for damage to materials.
- If the film breaks, stop the projector. Overlap the film on the
take-up reel and continue your program. Under any circumstances, do not
tape, splice, staple, glue or otherwise join the broken ends together.
- Prohibited Use
- Films or videos may not be shown where an admission fee is charged.
Films are copyrighted materials and may not be copied, duplicated, or
transmitted by any means, electronic or otherwise.
- Audience Levels
- Audience levels have been assigned to assist in weeding out films
noticeably unsuited for a specific program. A particular film may be
suitable for broader or narrower usage. Preview films prior to a
program.
